Welcome to the exhibition opening Saturday 19 May at 14 pm

Gustav Vigeland’s monument to the famous Norwegian mathematician Niels Henrik Abel (1902-1829) is presented through photographs, sketches, drawings and other documentary material.

The monument, which was unveiled in Slottsparken in 1908, is reckoned to be one of Vigeland’s most important works.

The exhibition Vigeland's Abel is a cooperation between the Vigeland Museum, the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters and the Abel Board.
