Welcome to this year's summer concerts in the Vigeland Museum. This year it is 20 years since these concerts resumed! Ole Bøhn presents a series of musicians that we know the audience has greatly appreciated previous years - but there are also some newcomers.
The harmonica virtuoso Sigmund Groven with pianist Ivar Anton Waagaard is back, as well as violinist Henning Kraggerud, who constantly gets great reviews after performing with the best foreign orchestras, this time with pianist Natalia Papova.
New of the year is the pianist Joachim Carr, who is the first Norwegian pianist who has won the international Grieg competition in Bergen, and cellist Haram Meltzer from Israel, who is top prize winner in a number of major competitions.
James Dong from Australia has just received 2nd prize at his first competition as a violinist at the Vienna Classic Strings competition with among others our own Lars Anders Tomter as jury member. After performing all the solo works of Bach and Ysayë with us for violin earlier, he will this year give us a program of works for both violin and viola!
It is also a great pleasure to be able to wish Gjøril Songvoll with "Opera with more", Leipzig string quartet, pianist Christian Ihle Hadland, Ophelia Ragtime Orchestra and Magnolia Jazzband back.
