Gustav Vigeland is Norway's greatest sculptor of all time. Few also know that he developed his own interior design. As part of the Vigeland 150th Anniversary, Kristiania Design and the Vigeland Museum have collaborated to create four pillows based on the Vigelands's patterns.
Vigeland's well-preserved apartment in the Vigeland Museum features colorful pillows, tablecloths and blankets designed by the artist himself. Most often it was his wife Ingerid who weaved or embroidered. Textile artist Kristina D. Aas has this year been inspired by Vigeland and presents her own interpretation of the Vigeland patterns. The products are woven by the traditional woven fabric Innvik AS (established in 1890), through their exclusive jacquard fabric, and are made from 100 percent wool.
