Elvira Nikolaisen performs Solverv, a work written for the winter solstice: music for the return of the sun and for the living interplay of colours in the darkness. Scored for keyboards and choir, the work is based on the song I Look to You This Time of Year from the album (Every Day I'm) Born Again.
Solverv was premiered at Emanuel Vigeland’s Mausoleum in 2024, together with Hanne Sørli. This year marks the work’s third winter solstice performance. At the Vigeland Museum, Elvira Nikolaisen will be joined by the Sørli sisters and the choir Mandalittene.
Welcome to an atmospheric Christmas concert!
