The sculpture park consists of more than 200 sculptures in granite, bronze and wrought iron, and is the result of more than 40 years of work. The park was mainly constructed between 1940 and 1949 and today stands as one of Norway’s most renowned sculpture parks. During the tour, you will be introduced to the history behind Vigeland Park and gain insight into how the project developed from the earliest plans to the park we know today. We take a closer look at key works such as The Fountain, The Bridge, The Monolith and The Wheel of Life.
