Tourist in Your Own City – Free Admission and Guided Tours
During the "Tourist in Your Own City" event, you can join a free guided tour of Gustav Vigeland’s apartment at 1:00 PM and the exhibition "Kai Nielsen. Born of Everyday Life" at 2:00 PM (both guided tours are conducted in Norwegian). Tickets for both tours are distributed at the reception from 12:00 PM to visitors with a digital "Tourist in Your Own City" ticket. There is a special event pass in the app, and only this digital pass is considered a valid ticket (not the regular Oslo Pass).
"Tourist in Your Own City" is a collaboration between VisitOslo, Ruter, and many of the city's museums and attractions, inviting Oslo residents to experience the city as tourists. The event lasts for one day and is free of charge. You need a "Tourist in Your Own City" pass to visit museums, use public transport, and take advantage of the discounted offers listed in the program. The number of passes is limited due to capacity restrictions at museums and other participating attractions.
