As part of this summer's exhibition Feminist Aesthetics, we invite children and young people to a sensory, nature-inspired workshop with artist Elise Ain Adamsrød. The exhibition features new paintings by Emily Gernild, inspired in part by the rose garden in Vigeland Park. This has also served as a starting point for the workshop, where nature – and especially wildflowers – leave their imprint on clay and paper.

At two creative stations, participants can experiment with different techniques: At one station, we press flowers into air-drying clay to create three-dimensional reliefs. At the other, we make colorful cards by hammering flowers between sheets of paper – drawing out the colors and textures directly from nature.

Elise Ain Adamsrød graduated from the Trondheim Academy of Fine Art (2024) and works in an interdisciplinary field spanning video, photography, textiles, and performance. Her projects explore connections between the body, nature, trauma, and care – with ecological awareness and feminist thinking as central driving forces.

The workshop is made possible with support from the Sparebankstiftelsen DNB.
