In the description of her exhibition project for the Eckbo Legat Anniversary Exhibition, Still Life – Gaze from the East, Wang writes that she will treat still life paintings from a modern oriental perspective. She wants to create what she describes as "an interactive artistic discourse".

The Still Life series is a large-scale project that was initiated in 2019. The series consists of ceramic sculptures that together form a large-scale installation. The project, which in this exhibition is three-part and includes performance, is inspired by the still life paintings of the Dutch Golden Age. Wang's ambition is to shed light on various aspects of the shared history of the West and the East.
