Easter at the Vigeland Museum

During the Easter holidays, the Vigeland Museum invites visitors of all ages to a week filled with creativity and learning. Children can enjoy fun activities in the Easter workshop, families can join guided tours (conducted in Norwegian), and everyone can explore the exhibition Kai Nielsen. Born of the Everyday. The museum is open as usual from Tuesday to Sunday, 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Free Easter Workshop for Children
Our popular Easter workshop is open for three days during Easter, offering creative activities suitable for children aged four and up. Kids can make bunny crowns, shape bunnies and chicks from clay, and paint their own Easter decorations.

Dates: Wednesday April 16, Thursday April 17, and Friday April 18
Entry times: 12:30 PM, 1:30 PM, and 2:30 PM
Free for children (an accompanying adult is required)
Adults pay regular admission
No registration required – just show up

Strollers can be parked at the entrance or in the Courtyard (Borggården).
Note: There may be some waiting time, but Vigeland Park just outside offers a café and play areas. Art scavenger hunts will be handed out to children and can be completed either in the park or in the museum.

Free Art Scavenger Hunt in the Park and Museum
We offer an art scavenger hunt where children can play detectives and solve fun tasks throughout the museum. If you solve the challenges, you’ll win a prize, which can be picked up at the reception.

Welcome to the Vigeland Museum this Easter!
