Easter at the Vigeland Museum

The Vigeland Museum is open at Easter! We follow our normal opening hours and are open Tuesday-Sunday from 12-4pm.

We have different activities:

Family workshop

On April 6, April 7 and April 9 we have an Easter workshop. Here, the family can frolic in the museum's information room with Easter activities. We also have a clay workshop, where you can make clay figures. The workshop is open from 12.00 to 15.00.

The workshop is free, and you don't need to sign up, just drop by. Children and young people under the age of 18 enter the museum for free. Adults must pay an entrance fee.

Art puzzle

We offer a free art puzzle for families with children, where the children can play detective in the museum and solve various tasks. And win prizes! Handed out at reception.

Guided tours (in Norwegian)

On April 6 and April 7, tours are arranged in Gustav Vigeland's apartment at 1 p.m. The 300 m2 apartment on the museum's third floor has been preserved with the original interior from the 1920s. Vigeland lived in the apartment from 1924 until his death in 1943. The tours are included in the entrance ticket, but there are only 15 places per tour. Tickets can be pre-ordered here.

On 9 April there is a Sunday tour where you can learn more about both the museum's collection and see Vigeland's apartment. The tour is included in the entrance ticket, but there are only 15 places per tour. Tickets can be pre-ordered here.
