Studentslippet 2023

Free entrance for students: 2 – 8 September 2023

Studentslippet is a completely free “get-to-know-the-city” event at the beginning of the academic year for all new students in Oslo. We invite you to visit cultural attractions, take part in various activities and explore new areas in Oslo.

The Vigeland Museum welcomes new students in Oslo to the museum. You can visit us for FREE with a valid student card between 2 and 8 September.

The Vigeland Museum opened in 1947 and is Gustav Vigeland’s (1869-1943) former studio and residence. In our permanent exhibition you can experience several of Vigeland’s important early works from the 1890’s, his famous monuments and portraits, and plaster originals of the iconic sculptures in the Vigeland Park in a 1:1 scale.

The museum is also a venue for contemporary art, with temporary exhibitions of three-dimensional art.
