Einar Grinde is the recipient of the Eckbos Legat Anniversary grant

Among four nominees, the jury has chosen Einar Grinde (b. 1989) as the recipient of the Eckbos Legat Anniversary grant. The grant is NOK 200,000.

Grinde receives the grant on the basis of the project A borrowed horse one must soon dismount, which is currently on display at the Eckbos Legat Anniversary exhibition in the Vigeland Museum. The jury emphasizes that Grinde's project combines classical sculpture tradition with contemporary art's use of materials, and is a fine juxtaposition of the high and the low.
